Case about ragging of students from Assam in Navoday School in Uttar Pradesh

In August 2017, it was noticed by ASCPCR, through media reports that 10 students from JNV Jorhat (Assam) were sent to JNV Buland Shahar (UP), where they were ragged by seniors. When school authorities took action against the students involved in ragging of students from Assam, they got aggressive and vandalized school property.

The Chairperson Dr. Sunita Changkakti wrote to the UPSCPCR, to kindly intervene in the matter and ensure safety of the students from Assam, while they are pursuing education in the state of Uttar Pradesh.

No complains have been received from students thereafter.
