On 30.04.2025, a 'Civil Society Leaders Meet- Making Guwahati Child Friendly' was organised by Snehalaya at Don Bosco Church Hall, Pan Bazaar, Guwahati to commemorate 25 years of Juvenile Justice System in India.

At the onset of the event, Fr. Lucose, the Director of Snehalaya, Guwahati delivered his opening remarks and welcomed all the esteemed dignitaries, resource persons and children present in the programme.

Dr. Shyamal P. Saikia, IPS (Retd.), Chairperson, Assam State Commission for Protection of Child Rights graced the event as the Chief Guest and addressed the gathering with his remarkable speech.

The programme was attended by Smt. Tarali Das, ACS, Addl. Member Secretary, SCPS, Assam, Rev. Fr Sebastian, Former Principal of Don Bosco School, officials of various Civil Society Organisations working towards Child Protection in Assam as well as the inmates of the Child Care Institutions of Guwahati.
