    Map of Assam

    As a Statutory body formed under the Commissions for Protection of Child Rights Act, 2005, the SCPCR has been created as a monitoring watchdog of the Government of Assam which is tasked to safeguard the rights of children as enshrined in the United Nations Conventions on the Rights of Child (UNCRC). The ASCPCR is led by a Chairperson and six Members, the works undertaken by the Commission cover all 35 districts of Assam.

    To ensure smooth coverage of children’s issues in all districts, the districts in Assam have been allocated amongst the Chairperson and Members according to the following plan-
