Today (24.04.2025), an orientation programme on best models of foster care for Children in Need of Care and Protection in Assam was organised jointly by the Assam State Commission for Protection of Child Rights and Dream India Network in collaboration with State Child Protection Society, Assam at SVD House, Azara, Guwahati.
The programme was chaired by Dr. Shyamal P. Saikia, IPS, Retd., Chairperson, ASCPCR.
Among the dignitaries present in the programme are:
1. Fr Edward Thomas, Chairperson, Dream India Network
2. Smt. Rilanjana Talukdar, Member, ASCPCR
3. Dr. Saju Parackal, CEO, Dream India Network
4. Fr Prasad Kalaparthy, Advisor cum Consultant, Dream India Network.

The programme was attended by the officials of State Child Protection Society, Assam, Child Welfare Committees, Juvenile Justice Boards, District Child Protection Units, Child Care Institutes of Kamrup (Metropolitan) and Kamrup (Rural) and Civil Society Organisations.
