    Today, Vigyan Bharati, Assam Prant and Assam State Commission for Protection of Child Rights jointly inaugurated Space on Wheels- a unique initiative of Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and Vigyan Bharati at Maharishi Vidya Mandir School, Barsajai, Guwahati. The Space on Wheels program aims to educate students and enthusiasts about space science ISRO and enlighten students about career opportunities in space science. The program will cover twenty locations in Morigaon, Nagaon, Sonitpur, Darang, Kamrup, Nalbari and Bajali districts respectively in Assam.

    The inaugural ceremony started with a welcome speech by the Principal of the school, Mrs. Panchali Roy. Dr. Ranoj Pegu, Hon’ble Minister, Department of Education, Govt. of Assam, graced the inaugural ceremony as the Chief Guest. He was joined by Shri Dilip Saikia, Hon’ble MLA, Udalguri Lok Sabha Constituency, Dr. Shyamal Prasad Saikia, IPS (Retd.), Chairperson, ASCPCR, Dr. S.P. Aggarwal, Director, North Eastern Space Applications Centre and Dr. Parimal Chandra Bhattacharya, President, North East Science Movement as the Guests of Honor.

    The inaugural ceremony was attended by the Members of ASCPCR, students, teachers of Maharishi Vidya Mandir, Principals of several educational institutions, and staff of Vigyan Bharati.
