    The Assam State Commission for Protection of Child Rights had the opportunity to participate in a National Campaign on Girl Child Education titled "Poori Padai Desh ki Bhalai". The campaign is run by CRY- Child Rights and You. CRY-Child Right and You is a 45 year old social development organization working towards ensuring every child has a happy and fulfilled childhood impacting 4.7 million children. Through the National Level Campaign, CRY is taking the initiative to sensitize communities on the significance of girls getting the opportunity to complete their education.

    Dr. Shyamal Prasad Saikia, IPS (Retd.), Chairperson, ASCPCR, Shri Phanindra Bujar Baruah, Member, ASCPCR, Shri Ajoy Kumar Dutta, Member, ASCPCR, Smt. Rilanjana Talukdar, Member, ASCPCR and Ms. Bandana Sasoni, Member, ASCPCR participated in the signature drive of the National Level Campaign.

    The Commission appreciates the initiative taken by CRY to disseminate the message of importance of girl child education through the National Level Campaign.
